Productivity goes down when unresolved disputes occur. The cost is extremely high when people don't work well together, leave due to conflict, or when labor grievances or litigation occurs. Factor in the cost of dealing with the aftermath, recruiting new hires, transitioning them in and the bill can become astronomical. Conflict is a touchstone for connection.
